Tencel® Logo

TENCEL® is a fibre obtained from the eucalyptus wood pulp cellulose, a natural and renewal resource that comes from self-sustaining and protected forest. Its production uses 20 times less water than cotton and the yield is 6 time higher.

TENCEL® offers a unique combination of the most desirable properties of man-made and natural fibres. It is the cellulosic fibre with the greatest tensile strength. In short, the fabrics are as durable as polyester while being 50% more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk and cooler than linen.

Moisture Management

TENCEL® deals with moisture like no other, the fibres’ inner porous structure naturally absorbs moisture and quickly releases it to the outside. Tests show that TENCEL® still has free range to transport moisture away from the body at a humidity of 65%. The fibre keeps the textile surface always fresh, smooth and dry.

TENCEL® creates a special and luxurious touch. Since the textile has a smooth surface, TENCEL® is the perfect solution for people with skin problems by preventing irritations to the skin.

Due to its moisture management, TENCEL® prevents the growth of bacteria naturally without the addition of harmful chemical additives. In comparison to TENCEL®, the growth of bacteria in synthetic fibres increases up to 2000 times.
