Linen is one of the oldest known textile fibres and its texture stands out from any other material. It is relatively soft to touch and very easy to handle. Thanks to a unique property its yarn is naturally resistant to dirt and to wear and tear, holding its shape with usage.

Linen is a very breathable fibre that feels light and fresh especially on hot summer nights. As it allows air to penetrate and so retains its cool feel. It can absorb 20-50% of its weight in moisture before it starts to feel damp itself. This fibre is also very relaxing because of its cooling effect which lowers body temperature maximising the feel of well-being and sleep comfort. Being too warm in bed is generally recognised as a major factor in poor quality of sleep.

The material is usually an off-white colour, but the fibres take dye well and so it can be dyed a wide range of colours.
